Volunteer Services
The Sutter Lakeside Hospital Volunteer Program was established in 1967.
Today, we have over 30 active members and volunteers who contribute approximately 470 hours per month to hospital services. Our program gives you a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your schedule.
The Auxillary
Our Adult program is open to community members who are 18 years of age or older.
Participants are asked to commit to a minimum of 4 hours a week.
Our volunteers assist the hospital in the following departments:
- Front Desk
- Patient Accounting
- Emergency Room
- Dietary
- Surgery Waiting Room
- Patient Care
Junior Volunteers
The Junior Volunteer Program is open to students 16–18 years of age who are interested in exploring the health care field.
The juniors serve the hospital in a number of areas including our Family Birth Center, Rehab, Medical
Imaging, and Surgery Departments and many of our non-patient clerical and administrative
departments such as Administration, Business Development and Human Resources.
Participation in the Junior Volunteer Program requires a 6–month commitment of 2–4 hours per week. Students must maintain a "B" average. Every effort is made to place volunteers in their area of interest.
Pastoral Care Program
Local pastors are invited to conduct rounds once a week to visit with our patients and be available to offer prayer to our patients
and our staff.
