Sutter Lakeside Hospital & Center for Health was founded in 1945 as a 30-bed private facility called Lakeside Community Hospital. The hospital was donated to the community in 1966 and a non-profit corporation was formed. In 1992 the hospital affiliated with Sutter Health and changed its name to Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
Serving residents of Lake County and surrounding communities, Sutter Lakeside Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital accredited by the Joint Commission.

Hospital Administrative Team
Kelly Mather, Chief Executive Officer
Kelly Mather has served as chief executive officer of Sutter Lakeside Hospital since 2001. Previously, Mather had been the Chief Executive Officer of San Leandro Hospital since 1996.
Under her leadership, Sutter Lakeside Hospital has implemented the Healthy Kids are Contagious school site program, Wellness Center, and created a unique healing environment around the campus. Currently, Mather is developing a “Healing Hospital” with patient centered care and focus on caring for the whole human being and is partnering with Lake County to improve the health of our community through a Rural Health Partnership model.
